Blackmagic Design has just released an update to its Camera system that affects several software applications on its line of cinema cameras, such as the URSA Mini Pro 12K.
Blackmagic Camera update 7.2.1 fixes a lot of small issues with this particular camera.
Installing this update will also install Blackmagic RAW Player, Blackmagic RAW Speed Test, Blackmagic RAW SDK and Blackmagic RAW Plugins on your system, so everything is updated with a single installer.
Having the camera and the software that comes with it up to date is obviously crucial for efficient workflows and better performance of the camera in question. The URSA Mini Pro 12K may not be your typical run-and-gun documentary camera, but it certainly offers great potential for visual effects work and specialized workflows.
Blackmagic Camera 7.2.1 Update
This update fixes a bunch of minor issues related to the URSA Mini Pro 12K cinema camera. The complete list reads as follows:
- Improved reading of remaining time.
- Improved focus assist thresholds.
- Manufacturing upgrades.
- General performance improvements.
This may not sound like much, but if you own a URSA Mini Pro 12K, you may appreciate these updates. The improved readout of remaining usage time is always a good thing (especially when recording in 12K resolution) and the more precise settings for peaking thresholds can also be very useful.
